With over 20 years of fine dining chef experience, she brings delicious flavor, creativity and love to every dish. Chef Brenda’s prestigious background includes:
- A degree from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts
- 3 years as a chef for the Los Angeles Rams
- Creator of her own line of Bback4More mole sauce and powder

Chef Brenda Backal
“My journey to become a chef was serendipitous and deeply fulfilling. After earning multiple degrees in various fields, I discovered my true passion for cooking and entertaining. It all started when I began making churros and funnel cakes for my husband’s friends during company picnics and birthdays. The joy I felt watching people relish my creations was unparalleled.
As word spread, orders began to pour in, and I realized nothing brought me more satisfaction than sharing my culinary delights with others. I went on to study at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, graduating with my honors degree in Patisserie Baking.
Over the years, my culinary career has taken me on an incredible journey. I have had the privilege of working alongside some of the best chefs in the restaurant industry, honing my skills and expanding my culinary horizons. My experience includes working with the Los Angeles Rams, where I catered to elite athletes’ nutritional and taste preferences.
Today, I own La Vida Culinary (previously BB’s Kitchen), and I recently launched a delicious line of mole powders under the brand BBack 4 More.
‘La vida’ is a Spanish phrase that translates to “the life” and is also used as a term of endearment. As a personal and private chef at La Vida Culinary, I bring my love for serving and cooking to a wide array of clients, creating personalized dining experiences that elevate and give life to any weeknight or special occasion.
